Her favorite reading creativity is to bring the story book characters to life through voice impersonations, thus to encourage Reading Time… as Fun Time! A most humbling act of love remains in memory of a childhood friend who battled and succumbed to the MS Disease, for whom Shelah and her two sons committed in faithful volunteer service as In Home Attendant Caregivers.

While Shelah’s academic achievement includes Undergraduate Studies with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from  San Francisco State University – Major in Marketing, her educational pursuits are further inspired towards completion of a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) through Cal State East Bay. Her most notable and cherished Scholastic Achievement includes being an Honored Recipient of the Marcus Foster Scholastic Award presented through the OUSD.

Along with Shelah’s endearing smile, can be found the unique trademark and lovable characteristic of her warm, witty sense of humor and enjoyment of laughter. She highly believes in staying positive and always keeping a strong faith in the Lord. For extracurricular enjoyment, Shelah is fond of reading, cooking, variety of music listening, bike tours, leisure walks, travel, movies, bowling, quality family time and quiet moments to refresh along water fronts.

As a proud single parent, Shelah’s life is blessed with three wonderful adult children whose professional careers include: Gospel Preacher/Global Sales Account Executive, Law Enforcement Officer and Health Care Technician. Shelah celebrates being a 1st time Grandmother (Nan’Nammz) to an adorable Grandson. Shelah’s heart is made glad through a host of young men and women who honor and passionately respect her as a guiding mother-type figure in their lives, for which she inspires them to always value and see the best in themselves.

As you will see, Shelah is a most encouraging individual who has a cheerful love for life and tons of inspiration to give to all fortunate to meet her. Shelah’s favorite scriptures for personal encourage and empowerment include Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” and Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
